Instrumental Lesson Diary

Week 1 This week I created an instrumental intro to my song and recorded it.
What I wanted to do:
What I actually did:
Did this work towards my goals?:
What do I need to improve for next time?
I wanted to make an intro that uses open chords and builds up to the bridge and riff. I think that I achieved my goal as the open chord progression worked well on building up to the bridge. To improve I could think of a lead guitar piece to play over the top of the chords.

Week 2 This week I thought of a bridge and added it to the recording. I wanted to compose a bridge that created a transition from the intro to the main riff. The bridge I made worked well and didn't need any improvement.

Week 3 This week I created a chord progression for the main riff. I tried to create a simple, catchy guitar riff using power chords. We recorded it on the schools amp which did not give it a great sound, therefore to improve I could bring in my own guitar and amp.

Week 4 This week I started on a new song and created an intro which also used open chords but was more melodic. This time I recorded it using my own guitar and amp to get a better sound.

Week 5 This week I created a bridge and chord progression. I wanted to create a more advanced riff in a different tempo.

Week 6 This week I started to compose a guitar solo.
